Thanks For Another Great Year!

A quirky band of Portlanders were brought together by the idea of making fundraising fun (for a good cause, of course).

To accomplish this, in the fall of 2006, we built a kazoo choir to play Christmas carols while selling kazoos to raise money and further awareness for Portland's own Kinship House - and thus, It's A Kazoo Christmas was born.

The Sequel:

This year, our kazoo choir played Christmas carols in Bridgeport Village. They kindly donated their Gazebo to our cause for a few hours on Saturday, December 15th. We were there from 2 to 4, and many of you joined us.

It's impossible not to have a good time while kazooing Christmas carols, but our real goal was to help the Kinship House.

Why help the Kinship House? Because they're local and they're awesome. Click here to read more about them.

How did we help? Our idea is both simple and fun.

While our kazoo choir played, we sold kazoos for five dollars each with all proceeds donated to the Kinship House.

Best of all, we made a lot of noise. Noise attracts attention, and attention brings us media exposure, and media exposure helps to spread awareness of the Kinship House and all of the wonderful work they do.

Thank you to everyone who came to see us this year, and an even bigger thank you to everyone who donated their time, money or helped in spreading the word. Also, a special thanks to Bridgeport Village for donating their beautiful gazebo to us for the afternoon.

Thank you all very much.
